Ganger Dermatology has a unique opportunity for aspiring medical professionals seeking clinical, patient-facing experience. This role will serve as a paid internship, with the potential of becoming a PT or FT position, dependent on availability.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with clinic staff to ensure a seamless patient flow, both in the waiting room and exam rooms.
- Prepare patients for examination by physicians, collecting health histories, and updating records as required.
- Assist providers with documenting, processing, and verifying patient information in our Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Communicate patient concerns and needs effectively to the healthcare provider.
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Assist with routine clerical tasks such as updating medical records, obtaining authorizations, and billing.
- Recognize and appropriately respond to urgent/emergent situations following protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, exam rooms, and supplies.
- Answer patient questions and alleviate anxieties when necessary.
- Ensure optimal patient satisfaction, provider efficiency, and treatment room utilization.
- Adhere to patient, employee, and clinic confidentiality guidelines (HIPAA).
- Follow established policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Assist in medical procedures such as surgeries, blood draws, suture removal, etc.
